Smells

Lately I have been smelling my past, weird I know. I smell hints of a perfume that someone wore when I was little. I can smell cabbage patch dolls (remember how their faces would smell sweet and not like plastic?). Yesterday I was doing the dishes and realized that I bought the same dishsoap that my grandma uses. It made me smile. I had lunch with my girl KES yesterday at the office, and one of the attorney's smelled like an old boyfriend. But today, today was the weirdest, I swear I could smell tapioca pudding. Now I haven't had tapicoa pudding since I was little. The only person who made it was my grandma. She'd put them in these individual glasses and by the end of the day, they'd all be gone. I love tapioca pudding. But it's one of those things where I'll never eat it unless Grandma makes it. I'm sure it wouldn't taste the same without Grandma's secret ingredient, love :) hehe cheesy, I know. I can also smell this bubble bath that I used to use when I was little. Obviously I was little because I haven't taken a bath in many, many years because of my fear of sharks. If you know me, you know what I'm talking about. lol! Anyways, it was this bubble bath that came in a bottle shaped like and looked like a Poodle. I told my sister this and she said that it was from our Great-Grandma who bought the stuff from Avon. Anyways, I can smell it. So from time to time I smell the soap I use, the sprays I use. But none of them smell like my childhood. I don't know why I'm smelling all these different things. I don't know if it means something like I'm yearning for my youth, or I'm dying. lol. Morbid, I know. It's just the strangest thing. It's not like smelling fresh cut grass and the smell taking you back to when you were younger. Or like the dish soap I was talking about. These smells come from no where. I could be in the living room, doing nothing, not burning a candle, not cooking/baking and one of these smells will just hit me like a breeze blowing through the room. Weird.
